A free BKDKBK SFW zine with themes centered around the Filipino culture.
In the Philippines, halo-halo is usually served with leche flan (custard) and ube (purple yam). The colorful things at the bottom are a mix of sweet beans, sweet banana, nata de coco, garbanzos, jelly, macapuno, sago, gulaman, sweet and sometimes, jackfruit!
Halo-halo is a Filipino dessert. It literally means "mix-mix". It's best to eat during the hot, summer months. That means, basically everyday in the Philippines.You can put various things inside Halo-halo as long as the main ingredients are there: ice cream, ice, evaporated milk, etc.
In our case, you can write anything for our zine as long as it has: Katsuki, Izuku and a Filipino theme! It can be parody of Noli Me Tangere, an Encantadia AU, a meme or something based on our mythology, as long as it is Safe for Work, the sky is the limit!This zine is a love letter from the Filipinos to the rest of the BKDKBK fandom!

What is this zine and why is it free?
Halo-halo is a SFW, non-profit, Digital-only BKDKBK zine that is inspired by the Filipino culture. We keep it for free because it's fun to do and we want to welcome our friends in the BKDKBK fandom into the Filipino culture!
Are minors allowed to contribute and download the zine?
Our contributors are strictly 18+ only. But since the zine is SFW, we will make it available for download for everyone. We believe in "aral muna, bago fandom."
Does it have NSFW content?
The Halo-halo zine is strictly SFW.
What ships are allowed?
The main ship should contain Izuku and Katsuki. All other ships are welcome as long they remain in the side story and do not take the focus away from the main ship.
Will the zine be available in English?
Yes, definitely. We allow works to be written in the contributors' own language from the Philippines (we have 120 to 187 spoken languages, excluding the hieroglyphical, dead language 'jejemon') and this will be translated into English.
What will the zine consist of?
This zine will be available only in Digital format and the content will depend on the results of the Interest Check. There will definitely be space for stories and art to begin with.
How many contributors are you expecting in the zine?
The amount of contributors will depend on the results of the interest check. But we will make sure that there will be a good balance of the different types of creators.

Important General Requirements
Although this is a free SFW zine, we will only be accepting 18+ contributors. Applicants can apply with a NSFW piece, HOWEVER, they must create a SFW piece for the zine.We would also like to give our contributors ample time to create with three scheduled check-ins within a 4-month creation periodWe also encourage you to showcase your best work, the ones that you are most proud of. We would love to see that!
Artist Requirements
🍨 3 sample illustrations
🍨 At least 1 sample must be bkdkbk related
🍨 All 3 submissions must be colored with or without background. Non-colored sketches should be avoided. Fully-rendered pieces are preferred but not required.
Writer Requirements
🍨 3 samples of your fic, each with word count between 1k to 3k. If your sample is part of a longer fic, please provide an excerpt that fits in the word count limit.
🍨 1 sample must be bkdkbk related.

When mods and contributors are made final, we shall invite them into the Halo-Halo zine Discord server for the zine contributors.
The Filipino Themes
Like any other good dessert, it should have a good balance of all ingredients. Because of this, we would like to set a fixed number of pitches on a given theme. The themes will still depend on the results of the interest check.
